Her research is focused on Intercultural Competence in Pedagogical Professions. Cultural competency is an expectation for graduating teachers. Diversity and multicultural education usually focus on the same thing. Schools are expected to create a safe and effective learning environment for children where learning academic and social skills are emphasized. Teachers may misinterpret the children’s behavior if they do not have an adequate understanding of the child’s culture. Teacher’s Pedagogical competence refers to educational and teaching qualifications.
