Quantum Heat Transport with Synthetic Fields

Quantum Langevin and master equations form the basis for the theoretical treatment of open quantum systems. They allow the theoretical treatment of the coupling of a quantum system to a realistic dissipative environment using the Green's function method. This theoretical description allows us to study energy transport (Förster transfer) and entanglement of quantum systems in dissipative environments, but also heat transport. In particular, we investigate heat transport in modulated quantum systems and the possibility of non-reciprocal heat flows by so-called synthetic fields.
