Profile and Objective
The CMC deals with practices of social differentiation and the formation of subject positions in societies defined by migration. The central objective of the CMC is the analysis of orders of difference and orders of belonging in migratory contexts. Accordingly, its research activities focus on the complex relationship between cultural and political migration regulations and their effects in and on processes of subjectivation. Moreover, the CMC is characterized by its critical research approach informed by a reflexive understanding of critique.
