Neuromotoric Diagnostic and Therapy Systems
Lead: Dr. rer. nat. Sebastian Fudickar
The group developes wearable diagnostic systems for the combined measurements of motor, cognitive and sensory abilities. Their differentiation is essential for a detailed evaluation of elderlies' functionality, including the identification of causalities between cognitive and motor deficits. Thus, these approaches enable specific, resource-oriented therapy approaches.
For an improved understanding of normal aging or abnormal individual courses, procedures, as well as classification and fusion algorithms for the measurement of functional abilities (via inertial sensors, fNIRS and EEG) are developed, probed and evaluated prototypically.
Thereupon, technical interventions are developed via personalized physical interaction with users to enhance their motor and cognitive performance.
