Research Areas

Our group studies the adaptive value of behavioral patterns (i.e., focuses on question in the areas of evolutionary biology, animal ecology and behavioral ecology) and the underlying mechanisms (i.e. processing mechanisms in the neural system).

Current research projects are:

  • Sensory ecology of auditory communication

  • Processing mechanisms in the auditory system of birds and mammals

If you are interested in our projects, would like to learn more about them or participate, please contact us by email ().
The list of diploma and doctoral theses supervised by Prof. Dr. Georg Klump provides further information into typical areas of research for thesis work. You can also consult our current list of publications.
