About Us

Who are we and what do we do?

On this page, we want to give you a brief overview of who we are and what our purpose is.

The autonomous office for disabled and chronically ill students, BeRef for short, is part of the student (self-)administration, i.e. we work in the interest of the students. This includes semester ticket refunds for those unable to make use of it, counselling offered by students for students, (public) statements on matters concerning disabled and chronically ill students and last but not least, helping students to get in contact with each other.

We offer counselling by e-mail, phone, or in person during our office hours. We are students ourselves, so counselling is free of charge and takes place on equal footing. Of course, your data will be treated confidentially – you may remain anonymous if you wish.

We aim to offer services according to your wishes and needs!
