Recording of Personal Data

We are obligated to collect personal user data at both library locations upon entry into and exit from the library. As per Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. c DS-GVO (GDPR) in combination with § 2h Satz 2 Nds. CoronaVO of May 8, 2020 (Nds.GVBl. S.17) we are obligated to collect these data to allow for the reconstruction of a possible chain of infection.

Upon entering the library, we will ask you to fill out a form that you need to return to us when leaving again. We will temporarily record the following information:

  • Library card number or CampusCard number
  • Time of entry into the library
  • Time of exit from the library

The forms will be destroyed  after three weeks.

Book Orders and Scan Requests via Online Form

Since the univeristy library entered into special operations mode, all library users holding a valid library card can place loan orders and pick up their requested titles in the library between 10 a.m. and 3p.m. as well as between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Scan requests and loan orders must be placed using the online-form.

This simplifies the transfer of orders for the users, speeds processes for the library staff and allows for clearer communication about the requested literature. To place an order, log into your library account. Four book orders and scan requests are possible per person per day.
