Internationalising Teacher Education

The DAAD funded project "Dimensions of Diversity in Teacher Education" aims to promote the sustainable internationalisation of teacher training at the University of Oldenburg. It is intended to facilitate stays abroad and to eliminate as many obstacles as possible, so that more students and teachers can go abroad to study and conduct research in the future. Mobility and exchanges will be organised at different levels and through various channels, including traditional student exchanges as well as guest lectureships abroad and summer schools. Digital formats will also form part of this. Trainee teachers taking part in the exchanges will be supported both before and after their stay abroad, for example, through intercultural training sessions and the use of digital tools. Exchanges, learning and working together will contribute significantly to the internationalisation at home initiative.

The project is being carried out in cooperation with the following strategic partners: the University of Groningen (RUG), the Netherlands, and Nelson Mandela University (NMU), South Africa.
