Funding Programme for Cooperation Projects

Funding projects and events as part of the cooperation between the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and the University of Groningen

In March 2021, the Presidential Boards of both universities adopted the jointly developed "Roadmap for Cooperation 2020 - 2030", which defines the focus areas and key objectives of cooperation for the next ten years. They cover various areas of research, studying, teaching and regional scientific transfer both in the provinces of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe as well as in the northwest of the state of Lower Saxony.

In order to accelerate the achievement of these goals, a most diverse spectrum of events, projects and initiatives will be promoted. Idea generators and organisers of suitable formats will be eligible for project funding of up to 20,000 euros per year. The grants will be taken from the budget of the Vice President for Instruction and International Affairs (Programme Budget Internationalisation).

In order to be able to respond to the needs of applicants as quickly as possible, the following deadlines for submitting funding applications will apply from 2022: 31 March, 30 June and 30 September of each year.

Funding principles

Funding is intended to support bilateral projects and events that strengthen the cooperative partnership between the universities of Oldenburg and Groningen. In general, all measures that serve to maintain or expand the cooperation are eligible for funding. Funding is available for projects and events that have a content-related connection to the focus areas defined in the "Roadmap". Please send applications by email to sekretariat.vpl@uol.de and to dorit.barz@uol.de as well as to the spokesperson of the respective field:
