BRUKER AVANCE III HD 500 MHz

Digital solid-state NMR spectrometer (Bruker, AVANCE III HD console and Ascend™ 500 WB shimmed cryomagnet)

Sample heads:

  • 4.0 mm CP/MAS, 15 kHz (BRUKER type WVT)
  • 3.2 mm LED CP/MAS, 24 kHz (NMR service)
  • 1.9 mm CP/MAS, 42 kHz (BRUKER type DVT)
  • Static in-situ sample head(NMR service)

All sample heads are equipped with two channels. One for ¹H OR ¹⁹F and the other channel for the X nuclei, where X stands for the nuclei ¹⁵N - ³¹P. This results in a tunable frequency range of approx. 50 - 500 MHz in the 11.75 T magnetic field. The measurable temperature range starts at -150°C (static) or -50°C (under MAS) and extends up to a maximum of 300°C depending on the sample head and rotor cap material.

Tasks:

  • High-resolution (MAS) NMR spectra of solids
  • 1D, 2D exchange NMR, stimulated echoes, relaxation time measurements
  • in-situ NMR on battery materials (during cell cycling or CV)
  • Observation of photoeffects (380 and 405 nm LEDs for sample irradiation)
