The ANALYSE! competition took place at the Institute on 26 January
Around 50 Year 12 students took part in the "Analyse!" chemistry competition on 26 January 2025.
In this competition, the pupils were able to demonstrate their skills in the university laboratories: On this day, the focus was on advanced practical work under time pressure, but with the aim of achieving very precise results. The students had to work on an unknown problem as a team, i.e. plan the work to be carried out and complete it within the time frame, whereby each team member should (and had to) be actively involved.
After this eventful morning, the winners of the competition were announced:
1st place: Eske Netzker, Helene Lewerenz, Timothy Ransby (Gymnasium Nordenhm)
2nd place: Moritz Meyer, Kristjan Klauke, Peer Schmitt (Altes Gymnasium Oldenburg)
3rd place: Pia Hupka, Mareke Meyer, Laaibah Saleem (Graf-Stauffenberg Gymnasium, Osnabrück) and
Mika Keno Ganslmayr, Hanna Goedeke, Insa Borchers (Gymnasium Ganderkesee)
Congratulations to all the winners!
The most important thing, however, is to emphasise enthusiasm for chemistry, experimentation and trial and error. This is also what Dr Ingeborg Buschmann, organiser of the competition, exemplifies.
The competition is organised by the Institute of Chemistry and the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker.
