Come to Oldenburg Grant

The University of Oldenburg in Germany aims to strengthen its international ties and to increase the number of international exchange students. In line with this the International Office has the pleasure to offer several grants to exchange students from English speaking partner universities, who plan to come to Oldenburg for a semester abroad in 2020/21. Suitable students will be awarded with a grant of EUR 2,000 per stay. Each grant is to be used for costs related to the stay abroad (e.g. travel costs, housing, books).
Applications are only accepted during the application period. The next application period is from 15 May until 30 June 2020.

All students of English speaking partner universities, who come to the University of Oldenburg within the framework of a cooperation agreement and were selected for exchange by their home universities, are entitled to apply. Students from following European partner institutions are entitled to apply: Danmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and the UK.
Suitable exchange students may apply for the grants with the following documents:
- Application form
- Letter of motivation (including study plan, max. 2 pages)
- Letter of recommendation by lecturer from home university (max. 1 page)
- Application for registration as exchange student
Please note: the student is required to keep and submit all relevant receipts (e.g. travel bills, letter of confirmation, statement of the payment of rent). The International Office will reimburse the student’s expenses up to EUR 2,000 based on these receipts.
