Traveling to Oldenburg

The closest international airport is Bremen (BRE), that is connected via train to Oldenburg.
If you want to travel by train, you likely arrive at Oldenburg main station. While there are a few ICE and IC connection directly stopping in Oldenburg, you typically use a intercity connection (ICE,IC) to Bremen or Hannover and continue with regional trains to Oldenburg. Coming from the Autobahn junction Oldenburg-Ost you take the A28 to Emden/Leer. Leave the Autobahn on Exit Haarentor and take a right turn into Ammerländer Heerstraße at the first traffic lights. Follow the street for 800 meters and turn left into Uhlhornsweg at the second intersection
Depending on where you stay the workshop location and/or the city center is in walking distance. You may also want to rent a bike (OLi-Bike by nextbike) or E-scooter. Oldenburg has a great bike-infrastructure and nearly no hills. Furthermore, the public transportation system offers you a convenient way to get around in Oldenburg.
