In a complex, dynamic and increasingly digitalised knowledge society, understanding and actively shaping personal learning is becoming a relevant skill for the future.
The strategic promotion of "learning to learn" can not only improve individual learning success but also self-efficacy and reduce educational inequalities.

But how do teachers manage to promote learning effectively and sustainably? What methods are available and how effective are they? What are the conditions for success when implementing learning strategies? And how does the implementation of learning strategies change teaching?

TOLL 2026 is therefore focussing on learning with the title "So that learning succeeds: Rethinking learning strategies! We are looking for concepts, methods, practical examples and conditions for success from schools, study programmes and universities on the following topics:

4. Deeper learning: How do we enable in-depth and transfer-orientated learning?
5. Feedback culture: How does targeted feedback support learning processes?
6. Growth mindset: How do teachers promote a learning-promoting attitude among learners?
7. Role of the teacher: How is the role of teachers changing in promoting learning strategies?
8. Learning environments: How do we design learning environments that support independent learning?
