First dissertation within the ECOSOLA project successfully completed

On Wednesday, 22 January, 2020 Christina Kifunda, the Tanzanian PhD student within the ECOSOLA project successfully defended her dissertation on the topic “The role of gender in supporting livelihoods through urban and peri-urban agriculture: The case of kinondoni municipality in Dar es Salaam City, Tanzania”. Her study specifically focus on gender roles and differences and why the opportunities for men and women are different in urban and peri-urban agriculture in Tanzania. Her study is already published and can be found in the library of the University of Oldenburg.
