PVKlima - Energy Yield from Thin Film Photovoltaic Modules under the Influence of different Climate Impacts
Overview
The essential purpose of the project is to provide the scientific principles for the assessment of energy yield of thin film photovoltaic modules under the influence of different climate impacts. Computer-based predictions of energy production are to be improved by means of the research results in order to minimize the risk of PV system operation.
Work packages:
- Work out the details on energy yield of thin film photovoltaic modules
- Prepare tests and measurements of energy yield
- Perform the measurements
- Technology-specific analysis of results
- Generate reference data for different climate impacts
- Model the operating behavior of thin film modules
- Standardize computational procedure for the estimation of energy production
- Workshops and publications
The Project
- Title: PVKlima
- Duration: October 2012 - March 2017
- Purpose of the project: Modelling and improving the energy production of thin film photovoltaic modules under the influence of different climatic impacts
- The project PVKILMA is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) following an order by the German Federal Parliament.
