Within the Smart Nord research cluster we work on the sub-project "System Theory for Active Distribution Grids". Especially for planning and simulating micro grids with a high share in decentralized renewable energy production, we study the spatio-temporal distribution of wind and solar radiation on a small scale (10 x 10 km) and with very high resolution (1 s, < 1 km x 1 km) and its dependency on cloudiness and atmospheric conditions in this context
