EWE Energie AG offers the following excursions at the Oldenburg Customer Centre:

1. How does electricity get into the house (4th grade primary school

   )Various didactic and methodological elements are used to prepare learning content on the question "How does electricity get into the house?" learning content. The main topics are: Function of a dynamo, electricity generation in a power station, energy sources, the path of electricity, forms of electricity, saving energy, climate protection, safety when handling electricity. The following practice-orientated elements are included: Energy-saving cooking, measuring the energy required for cooking and calculating energy costs (duration approx. 2 1/2 hours, for 25 - 30 pupils).

2. Saving energy - protecting the environment (IGS Gesellschaftslehre, years 8/10; RS Hauswirtschaft / Politik year 10)
   Basic information on various aspects of saving energy, climate protection and energy sources is developed together with pupils. In group work, the groups of pupils delve deeper into individual topics, which are also supplemented with practical elements, e.g. saving energy when cooking. The following topics are discussed: Energy use in the household, energy saving tips with practical examples, primary energy sources in Germany, range of our energy resources, energy flow diagram "From primary energy sources to useful energy" (duration approx. 2 hours, for 25 - 30 pupils)
