OLantis offers two excursions:

• Energy detectives at OLantis - on the trail of heat
  (4th grade science, sports)
  Pupils are introduced to the concepts of heat and energy and sensitised to water and energy consumption in the swimming pool and at home. Working in small groups, they measure the temperature of water and air at various points in the swimming pool, determine the amount of water used when showering and carry out the "swimming trunks experiment". Finally, they work on ways to save energy and discuss the generation of energy and the properties of heat (duration approx. 4 hours).

Prerequisites: Bronze swimming badge, 2 accompanying teachers (preferably with DLRG licence)
