In September 2006 the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai arranged a concrete co-operation agreement. This agreement was signed by Prof. Suresh Rao of the S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai on his return visit to Oldenburg.
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) also agreed upon such a co-operation agreement with the University of Oldenburg. In the future an exchange of students and doctorands between both institutions is about to take place in order to work on joint research projects.
A co-operation agreement with the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad is being prepared. A first Zusammenarbeit between the Endowed Chair of Entrepreneurship and Hyderabad has jedoch taken place. The diplomat Sinja Woltemath of the University of Oldenburg was from the end of April till the end of November 2007 student of the ISB, where she collected important data for her diploma thesis: Wie reisen Geschäftsideen um die Welt? Eine empirische Untersuchung der Ursprünge indischer Internet-Start-Ups. In Hyderabad she is being coached by the professors Dr. V. Chandrasekar and Dr. Chowdary.
