Prof Dr András Imre Mihály, professor of anatomy at the University of Szeged (Hungary), is conducting research as a fellow at the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg Delmenhorst (HWK) until mid-February 2021. He is the third scientist to be selected as part of a joint fellowship programme run by the HWK and the University of Oldenburg's School of Medicine. In co-operation with the Oldenburg anatomist Prof. Dr Anja Bräuer, he is comparing anatomy training at the Medical Schools of the universities in Oldenburg, Groningen and Szeged. The aim of the research is to identify the best teaching methods and timing for teaching human anatomy topics during the medical curriculum. To find this out, Mihály wants to conduct a written survey of fifth-year medical students at the three universities. He will be supported by his colleagues Prof Dr Anja Bräuer, Dr Veysel Ödemis (both Anatomy Oldenburg) and Prof Dr Janniko Georgiadis (Anatomy Groningen, Netherlands).
