(Almost) every position at the University of Oldenburg is suitable for part-time work. In addition to the entitlement to part-time employment, employees also have the option of mobile working and/or teleworking. Corresponding service agreements have been concluded for both working hours and mobile working/teleworking, which ensure clear, regulated and reliable structures for employees.

In addition, we have had a good flexitime model in place for years, which enables flexible working hours to be organised around fixed core working hours.

With the help of our flexible working time models, employees therefore have the opportunity to combine work with childcare and/or caring for relatives.

Scientists in the qualification phase who are pregnant or caring for children have the opportunity to apply for support from student assistants, e.g. for routine laboratory tasks, in School V - School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

The University's Family Service provides support in all matters relating to expectant parents, parenthood, childcare and caring for relatives.
