HdN Summit 2026 - Directions

Venue

The University of Oldenburg is delighted to welcome you as host of the HdN Summit 2026 at its Haarentor campus.

The main venue for the day’s programme is our ‘Lecture Theatre Centre’, room A14. You can access the building via the entrance at Uhlhornsweg 86, 26129 Oldenburg.

Seats have been reserved for lunch in our canteen.
The planned dinner will take place in our library hall at Uhlhornsweg 49–55.

Both buildings and the relevant rooms within them are accessible. Further information on this can be found further down the page. Please note that the university does not yet have tactile floor indicators. If you require assistance with navigation, please contact the organising team in advance of the event at . If you have any further accessibility requirements, please let us know directly via the registration form or by emailing us at the address given above.

You will also find information here on nappy-changing facilities and breastfeeding rooms ( see ‘Parent-Child Rooms’).

You are also welcome to use the interactive campus map (Building A14 + Library) to find your way around.

Approach A14 by car

There are several car parks around the campus:

The University Library multi-storey car park, with access via Uhlhornsweg 99c with the approach in red and the footpath to A14 in orange. Light blue marks the barrier-free access with electronic door openers.

The A55 car park is accessed via Haarenfeld street. From there it is about a 5-minute walk to building A14. On the screenshot you can see the approach to the car park in dark orange and the footpath to the building in yellow. Light blue indicates the accessible route.

You will find further parking facilities on Ammerländer Heerstraße, with the entrance between buildings V02 and V04.

A14 journey by bus

As we cannot guarantee that you will find free parking spaces, we would like to recommend that you travel by public transport. You will find directions by bus from your hotel in the hotel list. From the bus stop "Uni/Campus Haarentor" it is only a few metres to the entrance of A14.

Accessibility in A14

Building A14 has a stepless entrance to the right of the main entrance with doors that open automatically via a switch. There are two lifts in the building that reach all relevant rooms as well as a barrier-free WC on the ground floor (A14 0-024/0-025). We would be pleased if you could let us know when you register if you use a wheelchair so that we can offer you the most barrier-free experience possible.

Directions to the canteen

We will go to the canteen together for lunch on 10 and 11 September.

Directions to BIS-Saal

The joint dinner on 10.09. will take place in our library hall in the BIS Centre.
