Central questions of the "Hearing Sensitive University of Oldenburg" working group relate to the influence of acoustic quality in learning environments and the associated communication barriers on learning processes. As this area has only been addressed in a few studies to date and plays a major role for people who are particularly dependent on good acoustic conditions, it is important to investigate this area further at the end of projects on teaching and learning research. Other fundamental questions include identifying the target group of students with mild to moderate hearing impairments and describing their life situation in the context of studying and teaching. These will be analysed through qualitative and quantitative empirical surveys in conjunction with seminars. Interested parties are invited to take part in the working meetings of the "Hearing-Sensitive University of Oldenburg" at any time, for example to concretise a possible research interest in the context of a Bachelor's or Master's thesis.
