The Junior Research Group Genetics of childhood brain malformations has been established as part of a promotion program of the faculty VI, EMS COMes – European Medial School, since 1^st November 2017. According to the concept, this group should build a platform between the clinical and basic research at the University of Oldenburg. An active collaboration between the Junior research group and research groups of Human Genetics (Prof. John Neidhardt) and Biochemistry (Prof. Karl-Wilhelm Koch), as well as hospitals associated with the University of Oldenburg is essential to reach this purpose.
