The Junior Research Group uses, among others, laboratory infrastructures and methods established in the research groups of Human Genetics (Prof. John Neidhardt) and Biochemistry (Prof. Karl-Wilhelm Koch) at the Wechloy Campus of the University of Oldenburg.

Owing to this, the Junior Research Group may use up-to-date sequencing methods (next generation sequencing and Sanger sequencing) and various PCR-based techniques to solve complicated genetic questions. To better understand and proof the pathogenicity of the identified genetic defects, biochemical and molecular-biological procedures will be applied in cell cultures and/or in-vivo models.
