In the most beautiful spring weather, staff members of ICBM met in the course of the action "Oldenburg cleans up" last Friday to free the campus Wechloy and adjacent streets from garbage. A total of 16 dedicated helpers, from students to professors, filled the garbage bags which were provided by the Oldenburg waste management company. Objects such as cigarette butts, candy wrappers, plastic bags and leftovers from building materials found their way into the litter bags. Even a hat and a bicycle basket with no further use were dumped. After two hours of work, the diligent collectors met at the starting point again, having some cold drinks in a cosy atmosphere. There was mutual consent: All of them want to participate again next year.
