The first week of the summer school will take place on the island of Spiekeroog. The course will be held the Wittbülten Environmental Centre located in the midst of the dunes ca. 3 km outside the village. These research and teaching facilities were inaugurated in 2011 in co-operation of ICBM/University of Oldenburg, Hermann-Lietz-Schule (a residential school located in Wittbülten), and the Nationalpark-Haus Wittbülten.

Accommodation will be in the "Quellerdünen-Haus", a full-board accommodation facility for groups located only 200 m from Wittbülten. We made reservation for a detached guest house with two- and four-bed rooms. The board includes breakfast, lunch packages and dinner.

The second week of the summer school will take place at the ICBM locations in Wilhelmshaven and Oldenburg. Wilhelmshaven is starting and end point for the excursion and location for the data compilation and interpretation labs. For lab work the advanced scientific instrumentation at ICBM in Oldenburg will be used. The final presentations and the farewell babecue will be also be in Oldenburg. The accommodation will be in the ICBM guest house in Wilhelmshaven which is located directly next to the institute. It provides multi-bed rooms and a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. Breakfast and dinners should be prepared jointly by participants. Otherwise restaurants and snack bars are found in the neighbourhood. Lunches will either be provided (Wilhelmshaven) or we will have lunch in the university canteen (Oldenburg). For transportation between Wilhelmshaven and Oldenburg university busses will be available (45 min one way).
