Working in the Library
The libraries on Haarentor Campus and Wechloy Campus are not just places for finding books and resources; they are central locations for studying, working and meeting people.
WiFi and numerous PC workstations are available throughout the premises and both locations offer group study rooms as well as numerous individual study spaces.
Requesting a Guest Login
In order to access the electronic services and WiFi you will need a personal university user account (guest login).
You will find the application for a guest login on the IT Service's website. It must be filled out and submitted to the IT Services by the responsible person in the faculty/insitute (must be a member of the staff).
The IT Services' help desk is the first place to go if you have any problems using the university´s IT infrastructure and facilities.
Using electronic Resources in the Library
The University Library offers bibliographical and full-text databases as well as electronic newspapers, journals and books for literature research.
ORBISplus, our discovery system, lists the holdings of the University Library, of the Jade-Hochschule University of Applied Sciences and the Oldenburg Regional Library as well as a large number of articles, facts, statistics and studies from specialised databases. It also contains listings of electronic resources (e.g. e-books).
All BIS-licensed content from databases is indexed in the Database Information System (DBIS). The Electronic Journal Library (EZB) lists all licensed scientific journals.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide off-campus access to all our electronic resources due to licensing regulations.
