DESCRIPTION:This year's summer school organised by the DAAD project Lehram
 t.International is dedicated to the topic of racism and schools - racism-c
 ritical education.  \nThe individual sessions with contributions from Olde
 nburg\, Groningen and Gqeberha offer opportunities to engage intensively w
 ith the topic from the perspective of different disciplines. The overarchi
 ng questions run like a red thread through the day: \nHow do we as teacher
 s confront forms of discrimination in connection with origin\, "Race" and 
 ethnicity?What does racism-critical education look like? How can theoretic
 al approaches be translated into good educational practice?\nStudents and 
 teachers from the Netherlands\, Oldenburg and South Africa will be there. 
 \n26 June 2026 is the first of three summer school days. The next two will
  take place on 2 October in Groningen (hosted by the University of Groning
 en and NHL Stenden) and on 30 October 2026 at Nelson Mandela University in
  South Africa. \nWe look forward to your registration (participation is al
 so possible online).\nLanguage: To ensure that everyone understands each o
 ther\, the Summer School will be held in English.
