Apply for the exchange with our partner universities in the USA or Canada in 2023/24 from 12.10. until 17.11.2022

Please note: Due to the Corona crisis and the numerous entry and travel restrictions, it is currently not possible to make a definitive statement about which stays abroad will be possible in the course of the coming year. We are in close contact with our worldwide partner universities as to national regulations and decisions to provide you with the best possible information and support. If the situation at the time allows, we would of course like to continue supporting you in your mobility project. Feel free to send us your application and we will keep you up-to-date on further developments.

Application documents

Your application consist of two steps:

Step 1: Online application

Please complete the online application (only available in German)

Step 2: Document upload into Cloud Storage

Prior to uploading your documents in the university's cloud storage, please merge the documents into a single pdf file. The file should be named as follows: NA_23-24_lastname_firstname.pdf

Following documents are required:

  1. Cover form for the application (pdf form)
  2. Letter of motivation (max. 2 pages; please include the following aspects: reasons for choosing the university, choice of courses at the partner university, how does your stay abroad link in to your degree programme at the University of Oldenburg, language skills, previous stays abroad, what do you expect from your stay)
  3. Curriculum vitae
  4. Language certificate
  5. Current transcript of records
  6. Enrolment certificate (University of Oldenburg) for the current semester

Further requirements

  • Make sure to mention whether you will also apply for BAföG or Auslands-BAföG.
