Eduroam with a username and password (without roaming)
Eduroam with a username and password (without roaming)
for use within the University of Oldenburg
Those who are not authorised to use EASYROAM can connect to the Eduroam wireless network using a username and password whilst on the premises of the University of Oldenburg (including Oldenburg University Hospital, Pius Hospital Oldenburg, Oldenburg Evangelical Hospital and the Karl Jaspers Clinic).
To do this, configure the following settings:
| Wi-Fi network name / SSID | eduroam |
|---|---|
| Security | WPA2 Enterprise |
| EAP method | PEAP |
| Phase 2 authentication | MSCHAPV2 |
| Domain / Name of the RADIUS server | radius.uol.de |
| CA certificate / server certificate | HARICA TLS RSA Root CA 2021 or Use system certificates |
| Internal identity (username) | User account@uol.de (Example: abcd1234@uol.de) |
External / Anonymous / External identity | anonymous@uol.de |
| Password | Password for your UOL user account |
If you are authorised to use EASYROAM, this should always be your first choice. Logging in with a username and password disables the Eduroam roaming function – logging into the Eduroam network at other participating institutions is only possible via EASYROAM.
