Films and film documents of the DEFA. Approx. 440 feature films and 330 documentaries and children's films, film programmes of all feature films shown in the GDR, a newspaper clipping archive on DEFA film (approx. 600 articles), approx. 900 film posters, monographs and magazines (approx. 2000 volumes), ideocopies (TV recordings) on DEFA film and the history of the GDR.

770 copies in 35mm format of the state film company of the GDR (DEFA), 600 newspaper cuttings on DEFA film, approx. 900 film posters, 2000 volumes of monographs and magazines. This means approx. 4,270 objects.
