Prospective students

Dear prospective students,

Thank you for your interest in studying to become a teacher in Oldenburg. This website will give you an overview of the opportunities and potential that a teacher training programme in Oldenburg has to offer.

28 subjects and 5 teaching degrees to choose from

In Oldenburg, you have the selection of 28 subjects (three of which are in co-operation with Bremen) in the two-subject Bachelor's degree programme and 5 different teacher training degrees. This gives you a wide choice of combinations. This is unique in Lower Saxony.

There are 11 student laboratories and workshops in Oldenburg that are integrated into your seminars. If you are studying Elementary Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, General Studies, Computing Science, Philosophy/Values and Standards, Material Culture: Textiles, Economics Education or Technology, you will have the opportunity to work with small groups of students in the so-called Oldenburg Teaching-Learning Spaces (OLELA) and try out your skills as a teacher early on and outside of school.
