DGA awards prizes to two young scientists from Oldenburg
Oldenburg is well-positioned when it comes to young scientists in the field of audiology. At this year's 19th annual conference of the German Society for Audiology (DGA), which took place from 9-12 March in Hanover, two young scientists from Oldenburg were awarded prizes.
Dirk Oetting, a member of the Fraunhofer Project Group Hearing, Speech and Audio Technology, received the DGA Young Scientist Award, worth €500, which is awarded for the best presentation during the Junior Symposium.
Laura Hartog, a bachelor student at Jade University and member of the iHeaD group in medical physics at the University of Oldenburg, won first prize in the poster competition, worth €300, with her poster on the "Influence of binaural noise reduction on the perception of movement by normal and hard-of-hearing people in complex listening environments".
