Project description:
ENTWINE is a 4-year Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovation Training Network (ITN) funded by the European Union and started in September 2018. The network offers 15 early stage researchers from different European countries the opportunity to complete a PhD program.

Throughout Europe, people are living longer due to better living conditions and medical advances. This has led to a growing number of elderly people in the need for long-term care. At the same time, the number of informal caregivers has decreased in recent years. This development poses tremendous burden on families and challenges health and social care e systems across Europe.

The ENTWINE iCohort study is an international online survey devoted to hearing the experiences about giving or receiving care. The aim of the project is to analyze the challenges, reciprocal experiences of family care and willingness to provide informal care from the perspective of family caregivers and people in the need for care.

The survey is carried out as an online survey in nine different European countries (Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Israel, Poland, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom).

The division for Organizational Health Services Research coordinates the recruitment of participants for the ENTWINE iCohort online survey in Germany (Work package 1: Investigating willingness to care).
