University Sports Office
First of all, university sports is a programme offered by Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg for its students and employees, as well as for members of the cooperating universities. However, non-university members can also participate in our programme, provided they are of legal age and purchase a User Card. Our emphasis is on recreational sports with the focus on enjoying sports activities, a relaxed atmosphere and many new courses.
Our sports programme is intended to motivate everyone to become physically active, especially those who up until now thought they were not sporty. This is also illustrated by the more-or-less athletic elephants in our programme booklet and on our website.
Our emphasis is on recreational sports with the focus on enjoying sports activities, a relaxed atmosphere and many new courses.
Our strengths are the diversity of the sports programme and the large number of courses that enable you to become familiar with and try out new kinds of sports. As many courses can be attended flexibly, it is quite easy to integrate this into everyday university and working life. Proximity of attractive sports facilities to the workplace and the campus as well as the excellent value for the money make a major contribution to this. This enables employees and students of the University to ideally combine their studies/work with their leisure time. These groups can also participate in open courses free of charge.
The planning and coordination of the courses is supervised by sports scientists, who can also provide competent support and individual advice when questions arise.
If you have suggestions, questions, criticism or suggestions for improvement, you can reach us every day from Monday to Friday from 12 to 1 pm and from 4 to 8:30 pm at the Hochschulsport (University Sports) office in the swimming pool lobby on Uhlhornsweg or at the addresses and phone numbers listed below.
