In the journal Frontiers in Psychology (Vol. 16, 2025) the article "Enhancing professional development in digital STEM education: cross-disciplinary success factors and barriers" has been published.
In this article, the authors Mientje Lüsse, Ronja Sowinski, Larissa-Marie Stamer, Simone Abels and Maja Brückmann examine key success factors and challenges in the design and implementation of professionalisation programmes in the field of digitally supported STEM education.
The focus is on the question of how interdisciplinary co-operation and research-based development approaches can contribute to qualifying teachers for the requirements of an increasingly digitalised educational landscape. The results show that collaborative learning settings, practical development processes and sustainable network structures are particularly crucial for the success of such further education formats.
