PhD Programme "Signals and Cognition"
The PhD programme 'Signals and Cognition' (SigCog) was a three-year PhD scholarship programme funded by the state of Lower Saxony.
The programme was organised by the University of Oldenburg together with the Jade Hochschule and the Project Group Hearing, Speech and Audio Technology of the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology.
The programme brought together students from the field of cognitive neuroscience, engineering, and physics. It included multiple disciplines such as psychology, neurosensory science, psychoacoustics, signal processing and linguistics.
Students of 'Signals and Cognition' were required to attend courses of the programme consisting of basic modules focussing on complimentary disciplines, advanced modules on specific topics, research modules and soft skill modules.
Additionally, students of the PhD programme could also apply for the PhD study programme "Neurosensory Science and Systems".
The PhD programme is now at the end of the funding and no further scholarships are available.
