We represent the doctoral students of the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg in accordance with § 9 para. 4 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG, January 2016). The doctoral students' representatives have the task to consult on matters of the doctoral students and to give recommendations to the organs of the university.
Bahareh Azad
My name is Bahareh Azad, a PhD student from Iran studying wormholes in Oldenburg University. I live with my awesome Husky, and although it hasn't been easy navigating life in a new country with a dog, we're embracing the challenges. As a member of the PhD council, I'm here to help fellow international students with any questions or concerns they may have. Don't hesitate to reach out—I'm here to support you on your academic journey!
Simon Kirchmann
Simon Kirchmann has been a doctoral student at the Institute of Philosophy since 2021. His dissertation deals with conceptions of propositions. He is a scholarship holder of the Hansen Foundation and a lecturer at the University of Oldenburg.

Her doctoral project focuses on the phenomenon of opera film adaptations and their critical reception in German-speaking countries up to 1945.
