Previous Courses
Within the last years different courses which will be part of the Renewable Energies Online have been developed and tested:

  • Preparatory Mathematics Course
  • Online Lecture: Energy Meteorology
  • Online Lecture: Physics of Photovoltaics
  • Online Lecture: Fundamentals of Secondary Batteries
  • Online Lecture: Computational Fluid Dynamics 1

  • Online Lecture: Basics of project development and project financing

The courses have been evaluated by means of a survey. (see evaluation reports:“Evaluation Energy Meteorology“ & “Evaluation Mathematics Course“) Preparatory Mathematics Course In August 2012 the test phase of the Preparatory Mathematics Course started with a face-to-face course for the students starting the Postgraduate Programme Renewable Energy in October 2012. In July 2013 the Preparatory Mathematics Course was offered online. The content of the course was chosen depending on the requisites for the following master course and by evaluating the students’ knowledge in advance. Exercises were solved by the students and knowledge gaps were identified. Online Lecture: Energy Meteorology In winter term 2012/2013 the first online lecture “Energy Meteorology” was tested parallel to the face-to-face lecture “Energy Meteorology” of the PPRE and EUREC curriculum. During this course basic meteorological knowledge is taught which is necessary for the understanding of the fluctuating nature of solar and wind energy resources. Online Lecture: Physics of Photovoltaics In the summer term 2014 the online lecture “Physics of Photovoltaics” was tested. More detailed information can be found here. Online Lecture: Fundamentals of Secondary Batteries In the summer term 2014 the online lecture “Fundamentals of Secondary Batteries” was tested. More detailed information can be found here. An updated test run was performed in the summer term of 2015. Online Lecture: Computational Fluid Dynamics 1
In the summer term 2014 the online lecture “Computational Fluid Dynamics 1” was tested. More detailed information can be found here. Online Lecture: Basics of project development and project financing In the summer term 2015 the online lecture "Basics of project development and project financing" was tested. More detailed information can be found here.
