On 5 May 2015, the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE ) published the 2015/2016 university ranking for the subject of physics together with the weekly magazine DIE ZEIT. Physics in Oldenburg was ranked in the top group in Germany three times in the categories "Degree in a reasonable time", "International orientation" and "Laboratory practicals".

A ZEIT press release states the following about the ranking: "The CHE University Ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking in the German-speaking world. The CHE has analysed more than 300 universities and universities of applied sciences. In addition to facts on study, teaching and research, the ranking includes students' judgements on the study conditions at their university."

The Institute of Physics is delighted with its good position in the ranking and will do everything it can to continue offering students an attractive physics education in the future!
