Biogas Compact Workshop

Biodigesters in Developing Countries Biochemistry, Project Planning and Mass Dissemination for Domestic Biodigesters Apr. 10—Apr. 13. 2012University of Oldenburg, Germany


As in the past years the Postgraduate Programme Renewable Energy at the University of Oldenburg will hold a 4-day workshop on mass dissemination of domestic biodigesters. 
The course will cover biochemistry, planning and technology of biodigesters in developing countries. 
The topics are ranging from planning, construction and operation to financing, policy implementation and local market development!
Long term experiences will be presented by specialists of bio-digester programmes in (south-east) Asian countries. Our experts from SNV Netherlands have been working in several biogas-programmes tailored to rural areas of developing countries for more than 20 years. 
The workshop will be held together with the current students of Postgraduate Programme Renewable Energy (www.ppre.de).
Course language will be english.

Applications will be treated in order of arrival This PPRE workshop is opened to maximum 20 additional (non PPRE – non EUREC) participants. All external participants have to pay a workshop fee. 
It is understood that present PPRE and EUREC Master students do not have to pay for the participation because it is part of their course of studies. Since the overall number of participants is limited, even all interested PPRE / EUREC students have to apply and therefore to complete the registration form. Fees

The registration fee (reduced fee for students) for 10th – 13th April 2012:
450 € (students 60 € and must include a copy of matriculation / proof of student enrolment)
The fees include documentation of the presentations on CD, refreshments and snacks.
