Public Transport

The public transport system in Oldenburg is provided by the VWG (in german).
Here you will find information about individual bus routes (Linienpläne) and an overview (Netzplan) of the Oldenburg bus network.

Should you be arriving at Bremen airport please use this information to get to Oldenburg train station.

Venue

The workshop will be held at University of Oldenburg, Main Campus, room BIS room (opposite the main library)

The practical sessions are to be held at the Energy Laboratory and several other rooms within the Wechloy Campus.

How to get there:
Coming from the train station / city center take Bus no. 306 or 310 headed towards “Universität”. Get off at the terminal stop "Universität". It takes approx. 15 minutes.

„Hotel zum Lindenhof”, Bloherfelder Str.206, Oldenburg.

Price: 47,50 € incl. breakfast.

How to get there:
Coming from the train station / city center take Bus no. 309 headed towards “Eschenplatz” or “Petersfehn”

How to get to the venue:
To get to the venue from “Hotel zum Lindenhof” it is best to just walk or call a taxi.
Public transportation is possible, of course, but impractical.

Youth Hostel (less expensive option)

Jugendherberge Oldenburg, Alexanderstr. 65, Oldenburg.

A single room costs approx. 33,00 € p.p./p.n. incl. breakfast.
Overnighting in a group room is 23,00 € p.p./p.n. incl. breakfast.

If you do not hold youth hostel membership we can assist with the university's hostel membership. Please let me know in advance.

How to get there:
Coming from the train station / city center take Bus no.302/303/322 headed towards “Flughafen”. Get off at the stop “Von Finckh Strasse”.

How to get to the venue:
To get to the venue from the Jugendherberge take Bus no.302/303/322 headed towards “ZOB”. At ZOB, change to Bus no. 306/310 headed towards “Universität”.
