What to Expect

A variety of topics will be presented by experienced experts from SNV Netherlands, who have been working in domestic biogas programmes in several Asian and African countries for more than 25 years. The course content covers an introduction into biological and biochemical processes in a biodigester, different types of domestic biodigesters and appliances, the use of biodigester effluent as fertiliser and animal feedstock as well as the SNV approach to mass dissemination and biodigester sector development. Expert Seminar
The workshop starts with an expert seminar inviting participants to exchange their practical or scientific expertise from the biogas sector, with posters and presentations. If you are interested to share your related competences please send your abstract (maximum 400 words) by email to until 29 February 2016. |

The participation fee includes the workshop reader, the excursion to a local biogas plant, welcome dinner, cooking event as well as lunches and refreshments during the days of the workshop. The participation fee has to be transferred to the bank account of the University of Oldenburg (see information on the right side). |
Funding Opportunities
International doctoral and (advanced) master students may apply for travel allowances from the IPID4all programme of the University of Oldenburg, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
