ABSTRACT:

The number of organizations assuming the challenges of saving energy and protecting the environment has gradually increased over the years and continues to do so. Furthermore, a lack of knowledge of the right tools and practices that help eliminate energy waste further prevents organizations from optimizing their efforts when facing such challenges.

This book presents a highly practical method: Lean Energy 4.0. It is the result of extensive research on the best improve- ment systems and tools that allow organi- zations anywhere in the world and from all industries to save energy. This book is about a system based on the Lean Six Sigma philosophy that allows competitive, agile organizations to provide high-quality service and implement the best manage- ment practices.

Industry 4.0 promotes the implementation of technology that supports the development of clean energy, facilitates real-time data processing for better decision-making, and improves productivity.

Talent development is always an organization’s best investment since people contribute design and improvement ideas that help the organization reach its full potential. This book is an implementation guide for leaders, managers, and all professionals who aim to build the organizations of the future, who reduce waste in their workplace, and who share a vision of a society that cares for the environment.

About the author:

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Monterrey Tec and a master’s degree in Renewable Energy from the University of Oldenburg, Germany (PPRE). Additionally, he worked in both small- and large-scale projects for German companies related to renewable energy.

Juan Pablo has more than 15 years of experience in the energy industry and has participated in more than 50 Lean Six Sigma improvement projects with companies and organizations throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia. He is certified by Swiss Alliance as Master Black Belt and collaborates alongside other coaches at Lean Six Sigma Institute.

With extensive knowledge of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and Lean Six Sigma methodology, Juan Pablo – together with Luis Socconini – developed the LEAN ENERGY 4.0 methodology, which combines the structure of Lean Six Sigma projects with technical aspects of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and Industry 4.0 concepts. This allows organizations to leverage the latest technologies to improve their operational processes while simultaneously and significantly reducing their energy consumption.

2019 the book was presented in Barcelona, Spain at the International Logistics Fair (SIL, Salón Internacional de la Logística ) and won the prize for the "technical book of the year" in the fair . Currently it is only written in Spanish
