Renewable Energy Career Day 2015

On 6th November 2015, Renewable Energy (RE) Career Day event has been organized for over 50 international students of the programme's: SEE (System Integration of Renewable Energies ), PPRE (Postgraduate Programme Renewable Energy ) and EUREC (European Renewable Energy Centres) of the University of Oldenburg. The students have come from over 20 countries (some of them are from: Germany, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Bangladesh, Colombia, India, USA, Indonesia and etc.) This event has been organized within the IPID4all Programme (Internationalisation of Doctoral Education at the University of Oldenburg). The IPID4all Programme is a project promoted by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The event was held at Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg, HWK, an Institute for Advanced Study in Delmenhorst, Germany. RE Career Day 2015 is specially organized event for doctoral and master's students who are specializing in RE technology and systems at the University of Oldenburg.

The participants have been driven in a bus from the University at 8.30 AM to HWK, Delmenhorst.   The event was held from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and the participants were dropped back at the University until 5:30 PM. The event was divided into three sessions with three organizations presenting in each session. Each session was followed by a break wherein the organization representatives participated in round table discussions with students. The highlight of the event was the application check (CV and Cover Letter) of the students. Application check for both German and English applications was evaluated by two individual experts.
