New MSc-Students in RE at UOl
New MSc-Students in the field of RE at Oldenburg University

In October 2018 University of Oldenburg welcomed exactly 43 international students, who took up their MSc-studies with respect to Renewable Energy:
- 24 in the Postgraduate Programme Renewable Energy (https://uol.de/en/ppre/),
- 13 in the European Renewable Energy Master Programme (https://uol.de/en/eurec/),
- 3 in the newly established RE Online Programme (https://uol.de/en/reo/) and
- 3 as Erasmus – Exchange Students from collaborating universities in Spain, France and Argentina.
The incoming students stem from 25 different countries: 14 from LA (Latin America), 12 from Asia, 6 from Europe, 5 from MENA (Middle East/North Africa), 4 from Africa and 2 from the US.
The female quota reached almost 36%!
With respect to previous studies, almost all students qualified with a Bachelor in Engineering. Among these 11 have a background in Electrical, 8 in Mechanical, 3 in Electro-Mechanical, 2 in Chemical and 7 in other engineering subjects, like Material, Civil, Industrial, Aeronautical, Marine, Computer and Petroleum Engineering. Additionally 5 students already studied Renewable Energy during their Bachelor and 2 have a background in physics.
