At-risk and refugee scientists

The Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg supports at-risk and refugee scientists by realising temporary research opportunities through the funding programmes below. By joining the international network Scholars at Risk at the beginning of 2022, the University of Oldenburg is also officially showing solidarity with researchers around the world who are threatened and persecuted due to their research activities, their commitment to academic freedom, armed conflicts in the country or other reasons.

Researchers cannot hand in applications themselves. If you are in contact with researchers at risk, would like to host such a guest in your institute or are affected by risk yourself, please contact the International Office as soon as possible.
