Energy and Semiconductor Research
Energy and Semiconductor Research (Prof. Dr. Jürgen Parisi)
The Energy and Semiconductor Research department (EHF) constitutes one of the main focus points of research at the University of Oldenburg in the Institute of Physics. It consists of eight work-groups: Experimental Physics of Complex Systems, Interface Physics, Nanochemistry, Inorganic Photovoltaics, Organic Photovoltaics, Energy Storage Technology, Solar and Energy Meteorology. At the EHF Laboratory research is performed on fundamental physics of semiconductor and complex systems as well as in applied physics in the field of renewable energies.
Teaching contributions cover both general physics and specific energy related topics. In addition, EHF offers two international master courses on Renewable Energy in English language:
- The international and interdisciplinary Postgraduate Programme Renewable Energy (PPRE) at UOldenburg which exists since 1987 and has been re-accredited in 2010. So far, more than 400 alumni from more than 80 countries have participated in the programme.
- The international and interdisciplinary European Renewable Energy Master Programme (EUREC) at UOldenburg, commonly organizedsince 2002 byuniversities from France, Great Britain, Spain, Greece, the Netherlands and Germany.
